Said after Fajr, as the day begins. Each one is short enough to memorise and is reported in the authentic collections.
The Prophet ﷺ opened every morning with these words.
اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ
Allāhumma bika aṣbaḥnā, wa bika amsaynā, wa bika naḥyā, wa bika namūtu, wa ilayka an-nushūr
O Allah, by You we enter the morning and by You we enter the evening, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.
Whoever says it by day with certainty and dies that day enters Paradise.
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي، فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Allāhumma anta rabbī lā ilāha illā anta, khalaqtanī wa anā ʿabduka, wa anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa waʿdika mā istaṭaʿtu, aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿtu, abūʾu laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayya, wa abūʾu bi-dhanbī, faghfir lī fa-innahu lā yaghfiru adh-dhunūba illā anta
O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I keep Your covenant and pledge as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I confess my sin, so forgive me — for none forgives sins but You.
Known as Sayyid al-Istighfar — said morning and evening.
Allah has promised His pleasure to whoever says it morning and evening.
رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا
Raḍītu billāhi rabban, wa bil-Islāmi dīnan, wa bi-Muḥammadin ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa sallama nabiyyan
I am content with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad ﷺ as my Prophet.
Said three times in the morning and three times in the evening.
