Giving Terms

There is no fixed price, membership fee or paywall. You choose the amount, and you choose whether it is a one-time gift or a monthly contribution. The suggested amounts on the Support page are only hints — you can enter your own amount instead, and small amounts are genuinely welcome.

Reading the Quran on MyQuran.io, studying hadith on MyHadith.io, and every utility on OneDeen — prayer times, the Qibla compass, unified search — stay free whether you give or not.

20% of every contribution is donated to charity. This applies to every gift, one-time or monthly, at any amount. It is calculated on the amount you give.

The remaining 80% covers the cost of running the family of apps: hosting and bandwidth, Quran and hadith data, domains, and the work of building new utilities such as prayer times, calendar subscriptions and the Qibla compass.

OneDeen is not a registered charity, so contributions are not tax-deductible. The charity share is passed on by OneDeen on your behalf.

When you give, you can express a preference for one of the registered 501(c)(3) organisations on our charity slate, or leave it open. That preference is non-binding: it weights how the 20% pool is shared out, rather than restricting your specific contribution to one organisation.

The charity pool is paid out quarterly to the registered 501(c)(3) organisations on the slate. The slate may change over time; any change is reflected on the charity page.

Because OneDeen is not a registered charity, your receipt is a contribution confirmation, not a tax receipt, and naming a preferred cause does not make a contribution tax-deductible.

All giving for the OneDeen family is collected in one place on onedeen.io, under one account. Giving intended for MyQuran.io or MyHadith.io is handled here too, so you only ever set it up once and it supports every app in the family.

Payments are processed by our payment provider, who handles the card details, taxes and receipts. OneDeen never sees or stores your card number. Your contribution is linked to your OneDeen account so your Supporter status carries across the apps.

Every completed contribution triggers an automatic email receipt to the address on your account. Each receipt states the amount and currency, the date, whether it was a one-time or monthly gift, the charity portion of that specific contribution (20% of the amount given), and the cause you leaned toward. It is a contribution confirmation, not a tax receipt.

If a receipt does not arrive, check your spam folder first, then contact us from the Support page and we will resend it.

Monthly giving can be changed or cancelled at any time from your OneDeen account page. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not remove anything from your experience, because nothing is paywalled.

Made a mistake — wrong amount, duplicate charge, or an unintended monthly gift? Contact us within 30 days through the Support page and we will refund it, no questions asked. Once the charity share of a contribution has been passed on we cannot recall it, but we will still cover the refund.

These terms may be updated as the family of apps grows. If the charity share ever changes, it will be stated here and on the Support page before it applies to new contributions. See also our Terms and Privacy pages.
