Surah Al-Ma'un (الماعون) — The Small kindnesses

1. Ayah 1

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ

   Have you seen the one who denies the ˹final˺ Judgment

2. Ayah 2

   فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ

   That is the one who repulses the orphan

3. Ayah 3

   وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ

   and does not encourage the feeding of the poor

4. Ayah 4

   فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ

   So woe to those ˹hypocrites˺ who pray

5. Ayah 5

   ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ

   yet are unmindful of their prayers

6. Ayah 6

   ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ

   those who ˹only˺ show off

7. Ayah 7

   وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ

   and refuse to give ˹even the simplest˺ aid
