Day 13 — Trust when the way is unclear

Trusting Allah in uncertainty is modelled by the youths of the cave and by the Prophet's own steadiness after setback.

  1. Our Lord, grant us mercy and guide our affairs aright

    Trust

    إِذْ أَوَى ٱلْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا

    ˹Remember˺ when those youths took refuge in the cave, and said, “Our Lord! Grant us mercy from Yourself and guide us rightly through our ordeal.”

    وَلَا تَهِنُواْ وَلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَوۡنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

    Do not falter or grieve, for you will have the upper hand, if you are ˹true˺ believers
